A geocoder built on Overture Maps data
Overture Maps publishes addresses from national registries. GridPin turns each country's addresses into a file you can query offline.
Where the addresses come from
Overture Maps addresses (via OpenAddresses) carry the national registries: BAN in France, ANNCSU in Italy, BAG in the Netherlands, RGZ in Serbia, CartoCiudad in Spain and CNEFE (IBGE) in Brazil. Every file records the Overture release it was built from: data freshness; licenses: attributions.
Build a file yourself
The pipeline that reads Overture with DuckDB and writes a file is open source: building sheets yourself. Most people download the published files instead: gridpin-fetch fr.
